Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) is the regulatory body for the communications sector in Lesotho. LCA invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Broadcasting Officer. This position requires a Lawyer that is conversant with broadcasting issues and prepared to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Purpose of the position
To monitor compliance of broadcasters with the broadcasting code and licence conditions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible to undertake the following:
Participates in the processing of broadcasting licences.
Monitors the broadcasting sector for compliance with applicable legislation and for adherence to conditions of broadcasting licences.
Receives and resolves complaints against broadcasters.
Provides secretarial services to the Broadcasting Disputes Resolution Panel.
Renders advise to the Authority on legal matters.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a Bachelors’ of Laws (LLB). The incumbent should be an Attorney and must have 3 years’ experience in a relevant field. Experience in the ICT sector will be an added advantage.

Highly disciplined, self-driven, analytical and methodical; Hardworking, job resilience with ability to work long hours to meet stringent targets; ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations; Fluency in English and Sesotho (oral and written), and Good interpersonal and people management skills; and Planning and coordination skills.
