PLANNING & PROJECTS MANAGER IN THE ENGINEERING DIVISION
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is in Maseru. The incumbent will be responsible to the GENERAL MANAGER ENGINEERING.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc Electrical Engineering • Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management or higher is a critical requirement
EXPERIENCE
- Preferably 5 years experience in planning and project management
- Computer literacy is highly critical e.g. knowledge of Microsoft Project & MS Excel
- Project Management skill is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
- Manages planning and projects section to enhance the overall performance of the section.
- Develops annual electrification programme for LEC.
- Develops transmission network expansion projects.
- Defines and acquire appropriate design and project management software for successful design and implementation of projects.
- Monitors and manages implementation of transmission projects.
- Monitors and manages implementation of Geographical Information System (GIS) for LEC network assets
- Reviews and approves surveys and designs for electrification projects, transmission projects and service connections designs and cost estimates for industrial and commercial customers.
- Reviews and approves variations of construction and design standards and updates engineering manuals accordingly.
- Attends progress and technical site meetings of major projects.
- Prepares annual budget and cash flow plan for the department.
- Reviews and approves payments to contractors engaged by the department.
- Prepares reports and presents them to the General Manager Engineering.
- Represents LEC in SAPP planning sub committee and management committee.
- Liaises with Rural Electrification Unit in matters pertaining to electrification and provides technical support.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management
- Post graduate Diploma in Marketing Management or related field will be an added advantage

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Chartered Accountant
- MBA in Finance Management will be an added advantage
