Demand Planner

The role

To control inventory and plan the demand for the Rock Tools Region Africa

Key performance areas

• Lead the area Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetingsfor their regions
• Ensure the timely collection of forecast data, perform gap / trend analysis and recommend process improvements
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of related business systems
• Ensure continuous communication and collaboration of forecasting and inventory management data with the regions and key stakeholders
• Provide feedback and make recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to the forecast
• Provide support to internal departments in order to improve inventory management
• Maintain inventory parameters in collaboration with regional manager for all responsible stockrooms
• Replenishment Planning based on the forecast
• Release orders according to system requisitions and customer orders
• Manage expediting requests from regions
• Perform detailed inventory analysis opportunities and optimize inventory levels
• Work with all relevant stakeholders to establish both short and long term inventory strategies
• Provide back up support for all team members when required
• Monitor indicators related to inventory (Fill rate, OSMI, DII,OFLT, Forecast accuracy, Airfreight)

Your profile

• MS Office skills with advanced level Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Root cause analysis
• Excellent time management skills; ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail
• Ability to own and implement process changes
• Presentation skills (verbal and written)
• Highly energetic individual with at least 3 - 5 years Inventory management, forecasting & demand planning
• Knowledge of S&OP process
• A degree would be to your advantage
• Experience with any Forecasting Tool
• Drivers' license is a requirement
