Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of Creditors Clerk.
JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Accountant, the Creditors Clerk will ensure accurate timeous processing of invoices and reconciliation of approved service providers accounts as per Letšeng Financial policies, procedures and controls.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Check supplier details, obtain management accountant approval and upload the supplier details into the financial system
Receive approved supplier invoices from Letšeng Mine and check for correctness
Follow up with mine and/or supplier to resolve anomalies/irregularities in invoicing
Process invoices for payment by following accounting systems procedures
Retrieve system activity report and present to Internal Auditor for review
Review allocations to ensure they are accurate and meet system requirements
Liaise with mine budget controllers where changes in allocations are necessary
Check applicability of VAT charges, and liaise with mine budget controllers and/or suppliers to resolve
Reconciliation of supplier statements to the General Ledger to ensure accuracy in amounts payable
Follow-up on outstanding items reconciled and missing invoices
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Diploma in Finance/CAT
4 years accounting experience in an accounts payable environment
Alternative GA with 1 year experience in accounts payable environment
Experience in using AP module in ACCPAC
Clear knowledge of VAT and Withholding tax applicability
Light Vehicle Driver’s Licence
