Sales Engineer - C&S Projects
The role
To drive sales for Crushing & Screening Projects with Project Houses and Mines by bringing the best of Sandvik’s offering to meet a given customer need and meet the profitability targets.
Key performance areas
- Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue.
- Responsible for price quality in line with Sandvik’s process and rules
- Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik C&S product lines especially plantswithin the defined territory or set of customers
- Define Sandvik offering using standard specification sheet
- Develop a sales plan for designated territory or set of customers
- Ensure customer is in compliance with Sandvik terms and conditions of sale
- Liaise between customers and Sandvik to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner
- Provide the company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the customers base
- Work as part of the account management team for local
- Ensure sales tools is up to date with valid cases and customer visit reports
- Update sales tools
Your profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
- 3-year Degree / Diploma in Mining / Mechanical Engineering or Marketing Management or equivalent experience
- 5-years’ experience in a mining / technical or sales environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Sandvik Mining as well as customers business
- Mining, Management and Technical background
- Computer literate - proven competence in Microsoft Office applications as well as other CRM Systems
- Proven competence in CAD and applicable 3D design programmes
- Intimate knowledge of Sandvik underground products and applications
- Business management knowledge and skills
- Sales and Marketing knowledge and skills
- Project management skills
- Negotiation skills
- Management skills
