Energy and Fluids Manager Wanted at Maluti Mountain Brewery
The above Grade K position exists in the Utilities Department. The position provides opportunity for a young and talented individual who wishes to develop a career in this exciting industry as an Energy and Fluids Manager.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
The primary purpose of the job is to provide leadership, guidance and coordination in the execution of engineering and asset management systems and work practices in order to achieve plant reliability and quality objectives.
KEY RESULT AREAS & OUTPUTS
• Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment.
• Organize, implement and execute Voyager Plant Optimization in your Area. Drive specific blocks within the Environmental Pillar
• Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target.
• Achieve Zero Based Budget commitments for Department and achieve operation costs commitments for the Plant in terms of Water, Energy, CO2 recovery efficiency and CO2 usage. .
• Identify and develop Value Add initiatives for future VA commitments and drive and monitor current year committed VA initiatives.
• Manage the Utilities Area, internal water treatment and water recovery technologies, site air, electricity and steam reticulation. Manager Water downstream of Reservoir including treatment.
• Interface with appropriate Local government authorities to ensure compliance to statutory policies with respect to Utilities Plant. Plan and execute the actions required to comply with the applicable, local, state and municipality laws.
• Raise the training and development needs, and ensure and assure suitable training capability exists (material and facilitators) suitable to cover Energy and Fluids training needs.
• Ensure the correct scoping of Plant Capex Projects in Area.
• Lead, coach and train team members to ensure continuous improvement in engagement of people in the Plant.
• Manage 5S inside the department.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• BSc Degree equivalent in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical or Mechatronics) with 5 years’ post graduate experience preferably in fast moving consumable goods (FMCG) environment.
