Environmental Manager Wanted at Maluti Mountain Brewery
The above Grade J position exists in the Supply Department. The position provides opportunity for a young and talented individual who wishes to develop a career in this exciting industry as an Environmental Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
The primary purpose of the job is to provide leadership, guidance, implementation and execution of the Environmental VPO Pillar.
KEY RESULT AREAS & OUTPUTS
• Ensure compliance with Safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment.
• Monthly review of Voyager Plant Optimization gap closure and score. Quarterly review of VPO managed. Monthly and quarterly updates sent to the Zone
• Drive closure of Environmental non-compliances on Site working with Local authorities and the Zone.
• Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target.
• Achieve Zero Based Budget commitments for Department.
• Identify and develop Value Add initiatives for future, and drive and monitor current year committed VA initiatives.
• Manage the effluent plant and water treatment to reservoir and waste segregation areas.
• Interface with relevant Local government authorities and corporate affairs to ensure compliance to statutory environmental policies.
• Ensure and assure training capability exists (material and facilitators) suitable to cover mandated Environmental training needs. Lead, coach and train team members. Raise the training and development needs of your team and ensure their execution.
• Perform routine inspections and periodic audits so as to check the compliance with the Environment requirements.
• Manage incomes and expenses arising from Byproducts, focused on increasing the net margin.
• Manage the SLA on influent and discharge management across Site.
• Lead in environmental emergency situations, and act as a local technical support to manage Environment crisis.
• Ensure the correct scoping of Plant Capex Projects in Area, according to the Environment internal and external requirements.
• Manage 5S inside the department.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• BSc Degree equivalent in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) with 5 years’ post graduate experience preferably in fast moving consumable goods (FMCG) environment.
