Loti Brick (PTY) LTD a Manufacturer of clay brick products is looking for a qualified, experienced and hands-on ELECTRICIAN. The main function of this position would be to install, maintain, identify and repair all electrical equipment and attend to all electrical problems.
Key Performance Areas
• To implement the electrical plant maintenance to ensure availability of manufacturing plant at all times
• Attend breakdown and repairs safely, effectively, and in a timely manner ensuring maximum plant availability
• Conduct daily inspections in line with the maintenance plan to ensure proper machine operations and identify faults before they arise
• Performs thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify, rectify and eliminate future breakdowns.
• Confer with Electrical Supervisor to advise, plan and coordinate maintenance activities
• Record all maintenance conducted and spare parts used and provide specifications to procurement personnel when required.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Design electrical systems and circuits, as well as contribute to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
• Execute identified and assigned projects on time and deadlines met
3. Competency requirements for the position
• Minimum of a Certificate in electrical installations OR a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Previous shop floor experience and exceptional troubleshooting abilities. Ability to follow recording procedures and problem-solving routines.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings to attend breakdowns and create circuit diagrams
• Ability to use basic electrical tools and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of P.L.C. programming and maintenance and be able to troubleshot, maintain and program P.L.C will be added advantage
