APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

The Lesotho PostBank invites interested Basotho Nationals to apply for the position of Applications Developer based in Maseru, which entails, inter alia, design and development of business applications software within the Bank including software interfaces for systems integration. 
The incumbent will also be required to support business applications.

Reporting to IT Manager, the incumbent will among others perform the following:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Software application design and documentation
Software application development and documentation
Software application training
Systems integration, interface development and documentation
Business applications support and availability
Work management duties

In order to perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, IT, Engineering or equivalent
Ideal: + Relevant Certification or Degree in Software Engineering
Minimum 2 years’ experience of software development in a corporate environment or ideally further 2 years’ experience in supporting banking or financial applications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of ITIL principles (Moderate)
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (Advanced)
Knowledge of business applications architectures SQL-based report writing (Moderate)
Documentation and technical writing (Moderate)
Awareness of sound information security principles (Moderate)
Workshop facilitation (Moderate)
IT project management (Basic)
