  • Deadline : 26 Oct 2014
  • Interview dates : 5–6 November 2014 and 27–28 November 2014
  • Salary : Competitive with excellent benefits
It’s hard to believe that today 748 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and 2.5 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.
WaterAid is looking for three Regional People Leads to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities. The three Regional People Leads will either support Southern Africa, East Africa or South Asia regions.
Working within the People and Organisational Development Team, the Regional People Leads will provide strategic, proactive and customer-focussed partnering to their region. They will also support Regional and Country Programme leadership to achieve organisational performance through excellent people management. In addition, they will be a key member of the People and Organisational Department in the delivery of the people dimensions of the Global Strategy.
To be successful, you will need to have extensive experience of strategic Human Resources and Organisational Development, and experience of collaborating with and influencing senior leaders and delivering large-scale change initiatives in a complex international organisation.
The ideal candidate will also be willing and able to travel internationally for 8–12 weeks per year.
By 2030 we want everyone, everywhere to have clean water, sanitation and hygiene. We need you to help us make it happen. If you bring your expertise, passion and professionalism, we’ll give you a lot back.
Please note: in order to apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the country in which you will be based. The Southern Africa role will be based in South Africa. The East Africa role will be based in either the UK, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda or Tanzania. The South Asia role will be based in either the UK, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Nepal.
