VACANCY – CORPORATE AFFAIRS MANAGER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho nationals to fill the position of a Corporate Affairs Manager at the Lesotho Petroleum Fund. The incumbent shall be responsible to offer legal advice, be in charge of the human resources management function, and the overall administrative support to the Fund. He/she shall directly report to the Chief Executive Officer, with the following specific responsibilities:-
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Act as the Legal advisor to the Secretariat.
b) Represent the Secretariat on all legal matters.
c) Manager the staff and budget resources.
d) Develop, implement and manage training administration systems and interventions.
e) Coordinate staff appraisal processes in line with and to ensure that the performance management system is implemented in accordance with the policy and procedure.
f) With the directive of the Chief Executive Officer manage the Board by planning, leading, organising and controlling Board activities.
g) Operate as a link between the Chief Executive Officer and the Board by communicating Board policy and providing the Board minutes and by following up with management to ensure that resolutions of the Board are implemented.
h) Ensure unhindered access to information by all directors to effectively contribute to Board meetings and other discussions.
i) Ensure that all newly appointed directors are inducted and provided with the necessary development and training.
j) Provide a central source of guidance and advice within the Board and the Fund on matters of ethics and good governance.
k) Coordinate Board evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS
LLB Degree or equivalent qualification with STRONG track record in Human Resource (HR) field PLUS 3 years senior management experience in corporate law – 5 year’s senior management experience in corporate law – 5 year’s relevant experience at management level – Corporate Governance qualification would added advantage – Computer literate
