Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Preamble

Loti Brick (PTY) LTD a Manufacturer of clay brick products is looking for a qualified, experienced and hands on Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. The main function of this position would be to coordinate and supervise all routine, preventative, and emergency types of electrical maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. 

Key Performance Areas 

To implement the electrical plant maintenance to ensure the availability of the manufacturing plant at all times.
Directly responsible for the supervision, assignment and coordination of all electrical maintenance activities.
Effectively supervise electricians to ensure that all assigned maintenance tasks are performed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
Performs thorough trouble shooting and root cause analysis to identify, rectify and eliminate future breakdowns.
Conduct inspection on machinery and surroundings and report on inspection findings.
Design electrical systems and circuits, as well as contribute to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
Allocate jobs as necessary and make appropriate changes regarding staff allocation to ensure full utilization of available manpower and working hours to meet the work requirements.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures.

Competency requirements for the position

Must Hold a BTech Electrical Engineering or BSC Electrical Engineering PLUS 2 years supervisory work experience. OR National Diploma in Electrical Engineering PLUS 5 years supervisory work experience.
Sound knowledge of P.L.C. programming and maintenance and be able to troubleshoot, maintain and program P.L.C.s.
Must have exceptional trouble shooting abilities.
