We are looking for a dynamic professional to join an international business dedicated to the energy & utilities sector.
They would like this individual to come on board as the Technical Manager for a CSP plant being built in South Africa. This is an incredibly exciting position that will naturally empower the incumbent with an enormous amount of responsibility. The successful individual will be based on-site in The Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
-Supervises all plant activities and complying with regulations, laws and environmental matters.
-Reporting to the CEO and CFO and keeping them updates on all plant activities during either construction and operating period.
-Supervises third party advisors/service providers and ensures that all tasks are carried out timely.
-During construction and operating phase, liaise with EPC/O&M with the help of third party service providers with representatives on-site.
-Supervise and analyze the schedule activities, assuring that the critical path is achieved on time.
-Preparing with EPC and third party advisors recovery plans if necessary.
-Relationship with Independent Engineer, Lender´s Technical Advisor, and any technical third party of the project.
Qualifications and requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical/engineering experience
-Tertiary degree in a related subject/discipline
-Willingness to work on-site for duration of employment
-Ideally the candidate should have knowledge of/experience in the renewable energies field
