Human Resources Manager
An opportunity exists to join this Investor in People Company in the above capacity.
Metropolitan Lesotho is the wholly owned subsidiary of MMI holdings, a company registered on the Johannesburg stock exchange. We are currently looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to head the Human Resources Department as HR Manager.
Key Performance Areas
Provide strategic HR input at executive level;
Management of the HR department, inclusive of training & development; remuneration and reward;
Performance management: embedding a performance management culture in the organization, performance management training and workshops, communicating the process frequently,
Work with Centre Support in conversion to total cost to company package structure as well as assisting with salary review process and input of ratings on the system;
Develop, implement and review HR policies, manuals and procedures;
Recruitment & Selection: Conduct interviews, Shortlisting of CV’s; conducting the relevant reference checks;
Employment contracts: Drafting and administration of staff contracts promotions and other related employment contracts;
Monthly MIS Reporting - Deliver analytics, metrics and reports as per business requirements
Industrial Relations / Labour relations: provide the necessary labour relations advice and support to line managers and staff, ensuring policy compliance to legislation.
HR projects: co-ordinate and implement various HR projects and initiatives, including change management, team building interventions, communication initiatives, drive reward and recognition initiatives.
Assist the MD with driving and embedding company values and the effective roll-out thereof
Knowledge and Experience Required
A degree in Human Resources with 10 year experience or Masters in Human Resources
with 5 year experience.
5 years working experience operating as an HR Manager at a senior levelA broad
knowledge of HR issues with specific experience in performance management,
remuneration and reward, change management, training and development and
recruitment and selection;
Sound knowledge of the Lesotho Labour legislation;
Skills and Abilities
Problem solving ability
Sound decision making, assertive and decisive.
Track record of multi-tasking and of multiple deliveries are essential;
A good communicator (writing and speaking);
Good interpersonal skills and adept at relationship building with key stakeholders;
Competent with the use of the MS Office suite of products
The candidate must have a strong ability to work independently, follow through,
implement and execute projects within the prescribed deadlines
Results focused and deadline driven
Ability to operate under pressure have a bias for action
Required attitude:
Must be willing to travel;
Should have a sense of urgency and accountability;
Should be business and customer orientated;
Should be self-disciplined and able to pay attention to detail;
Should be a team player.
