Position Title

Senior Assistant Registrar (Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor)
Experience and Skills
Provides administrative support to the Vice–Chancellor to ensure smooth operation of the Vice – Chancellor’s office;
Manages the projects in the office of the Vice–Chancellor and sees them to completion;
Carries out research on specific issues and projects;
Liaises with faculties, Administrative departments and other stakeholders for cross functional engagement;
Oversees the development of the Vice–Chancellor’s budget and monitors its performance;
Convenes and coordinates meetings;
Gathers and present information to facilitate decision making;
Prepares reports and drafts briefs and presentations; and
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Vice–Chancellor
Key Skills and Attributes
Knowledge of Project Management;
Excellent writing and communication skills;
Strong organizational and analytical skills;
Good interpersonal skills;
Ability to produce results and meet deadlines;
Ability to write clear and concise reports; and
Ability to handle confidential information.
Qualifications
Masters degree
Seven (7) years working experience
Experience in a higher institution environment will be an added advantage.
Employment type:
Permanent and pensionable/ gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.

Position Title
Post No.1550: Lecturer in African Languages & Literature
Experience and Skills
S/he should be able to teach Sesotho Poetry, Drama, Fiction, Research and Oral Literature.
Demonstrable fluency in Sesotho and English as well as experience of the teaching of
Modern Sesotho Literature and Oral Literature at tertiary level will be an added advantage.
Interest in creative writing is essential. Evidence of publication in refereed journals will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
Must have done African Languages and Literature as one of the majors in his/her first degree and M.A. in Modern Sesotho Literature and Oral Literature.
