Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of
SENIOR PLANT METALLURGIST (PATERSON BAND DL)
PURPOSE:
Reporting to Plant Production Manager, the Senior Plant Metallurgist is required to maintain and operate the metallurgical laboratory for the monitoring, analysis and optimization of the different circuits in the treatment and recovery plants of the Letšeng Diamonds processing
plants, as well as the Alluvial Ventures processing plants.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring compliance with all HSE programme requirements
• Ensure metallurgical quality control standards are met and maintained
in the processing plants
• Maintenance and operation of the metallurgical laboratory data base
• Analysis of metallurgical data to make production improvement and
recommendations
• Developing and Implementing metallurgical systems and policies
processes and practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the
processing plants
• Recommend process improvement projects and systems through data
gathered
• Ensure performance levels are maintained to achieve the treatment
department targets through regular performance assessments
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Chemical Engineering,
Process Engineering or Metallurgy
• At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial role
• Experience in Metallurgical laboratory accounting and analysis
• Light Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
• Project management experience will be an added advantage
• Production plant experience will be an added advantage

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of
fitness as per requirements.
• Candidates will be required to undergo Letseng Mine preemployment
integrity testing.
