Main Purpose of the Job:
The incumbent shall be responsible for the entire Front Offi ce operations and maximizes the room occupancy, ensuring
high levels of efficiency in terms of check-ins and check-outs procedures and finalization of all guests’ accounts as well
as building guest loyalty and guest satisfaction.
Education, experience and competencies required:
• A Degree in Hospitality/Tourism Management with 4-5 years relevant experience in the hotel industry
• A good knowledge of accounting procedures and the Opera system (Property Management System) is a
requirement.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer service and supervisory skills are required
Duties and responsibilities:
• Oversee the Maintenance and Configuration of the Opera system ensuring that input standards of profiles and
reservations are correct, selling strategies are being followed and the system is “cleaned” from duplicate profiles
and expired rates on a regular basis
• Prepare the departmental budget and put measures in place to achieve or exceed the budgeted targets and
prepare monthly revenue/expense forecasts
• Monitor the level of service provided by the department (i.e. analyzing the Guest Satisfaction Reports) and
constantly working on improving it through investigation, analysis and corrective action
• Work in partnership with Guest Services, Reservations, and Sales & Housekeeping to ensure guest’s needs are
determined and met in regard to room requirements
• To ensure timely, efficient & professional welcome and check-in provided by all Front Desk Colleagues ensuring
customer satisfaction
• Develop colleagues, Team Leaders and Managers by delegating tasks, empower and coach them making sure they
achieve the desired results
• Maintain a high morale and productivity as well as good communication within the Front Office unit, as well as
between other departments
• Supervise continuous Front Office operation, night audit, housekeeping operations and assigned staff , training,
evaluating performance and scheduling work
• Monitor all Front Office financial operations, including group billing, verifying rates/discounts, daily sales
reconciliation, petty cash and room inventory controls
• Maintain customer service/satisfaction standards and handle customer service issues as well as handling
complaints, incidents and accidents;
