Serumula Development Association is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the 2 positions of Project Field Officers.
Job Description/Purpose
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Field Officers’ major role is to supervise day to day activities of the OVC Care and Support Project being implemented in the selected Community/Urban Councils in the Districts of Maseru, Berea and Mohale’s Hoek.
Duration: 10 Months (May 2016 to February 2017)
Qualifications, experience and skills
- Degree in social work or equivalent
- Training and facilitation
- Experience in working with NGOs in the field of OVC care and support
- Effective written communication skills, time management, can demonstrate attention to detail, initiative and reliability
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and experience of driving in areas with challenging roads will be an added advantage
Major responsibilities
- Working closely with the Project Manager the Project Field Officers will support the smooth implementation of project activities, monitor and compile regular reports as per project requirements
- Facilitate project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with donor requirements
- Liaise with communities, community leadership structures and relevant government departments throughout the project implementation period
