Sourcing Manager, Africa
The role
As the Africa Sourcing Manager for Product Area Parts & Services, you deliver best-in-class strategic sourcing and are responsible for leading a sourcing team. Important parts of your mission are to achieve set performance targets by leveraging total cost and enhancing the overall effectiveness within your region. Together with the different Sourcing Category teams, and guided by supplier performance scorecards and performance reviews, you manage and develop a sustainable supplier base that supports our sourcing strategy. You are also accountable for negotiations concerning suppliers within the African region.
It is your responsibility to define and implement local sourcing strategies and to secure implementation of sourcing projects within the African region. You also design, monitor and implement savings and define budget impact and you continuously update and manage sourcing information in different systems according to policies and procedures. Additionally, you are a coaching and inspiring leader who always aim to develop your team of sourcing specialists and with the ambition to create a working place that keep and attracts talent.
In this position you report directly to the Director of Sourcing for Product Area Parts & Services.
This role will be based in South-Africa. The role will require travel between 20-30%.
Your profile
You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the technical field or within business, and you have at least 7 years’ experience from working with supply chain management. Your project management skills are proven to be outstanding and you have experience from working with complex products and services as well as sourcing for aftermarket. You are well prepared for superior contract negotiation as you have the ability to identify, negotiate and establish robust cost effective supplier relationships. You also know how to manage a cross functional team in a matrix organization and as we act in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

You have a strong sense of team spirit and are a good communicator; easily building productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
