Employment at US EMBASSY IN MASERU LESOTHO



We looking for a motivated individual to fill the position of Warehouse Assistant at the U.S. Embassy in Maseru. A selected candidate will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. Tasks involve warehousing, basic labor, clerical, data-entry, and goods receiving. They will also be responsible for backing up receiving clerk and supervising labor pool during various assignments (such as trash cleanup) as well as provide escort to contractors and other uncleared personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants must address required qualification criteria listed below with specific
information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination
that the applicant is not qualified.

Education
High school diploma or the equivalent is required.

Prior work experience
Two years of warehousing or similar experience is required.

Language proficiency
Level 3 English language is required. Level 4 Sesotho is required.

Post-entry training.

WebPass training.

Job knowledge
Must have Intermediate computer skills in MS word, MS Excel, Internet/Intranet searching capability, and MS Outlook (email). Must have ability to learn USG specific software programs. Applicant must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize as necessary.

Skills and abilities
Must be articulate with good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. This position requires self-motivation. Must exercise good judgment while juggling a variety of tasks. Must work well under pressure while maintaining a good customer service focus. Must be able to learn MS Word and Internet search engines. Must also be able to learn MS Outlook calendar program. Will train for specific embassy computer software if necessary so must be comfortable learning new software programs.
