HIV Key Populations Consultant

We're Population Services International (PSI), the world's leading non-profit social marketing organization. We work to make it easier for people in the developing world to be healthy by providing access to products and services that range from mosquito nets to HIV testing.

Partner with us!
FOR PROJECTS:
The Letlama project funded by USAID in Lesotho aims to reach men who have sex with men (MSM) and female sex workers (FSW) with interpersonal communication (IPC), ensure key populations know their status and that those who test positive are linked to treatment. The program only recently began focusing on closing the gap between IPC and testing, but early results indicate that very few IPC participants receive an HIV test.
We are looking for a HIV Key Populations Advisor to help us assess the current strengths and weaknesses of the current program and co-develop a revised approach to the way we reach, test and link key populations to HIV treatment. We're looking for someone with 4+ years of demonstrated experience implementing key population programs with a focus on the clinical cascade, especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
Sound like you? Read on.
Responsibilities
Your contribution
The work to be completed under this consultancy is to conduct a participatory assessment of the current strengths and weaknesses of the structure of the program as well as partner performance of IPC. You will conduct exploratory meetings with other stakeholders to identify unaddressed barriers to health service uptake among KPs as well as possible solutions, including new roles for partners. You will co-develop a revised approach for the program that includes a vision for MSM and FSW health in Lesotho and quarterly targets to testing, case identification and ART enrollment.
