World Vision Lesotho (WVL) was legally established in 1987, even though the Ministry dates as far back as 1976 when WV began child sponsorship in 2 primary schools under the auspices of WV South Africa. Between 1987 and 1995 WVL's model of development was through Community Development Programmes (CDPs). In 1987 with the support of the Methodist Church, as a local partner, a small coordination Office was established.

World Vision Lesotho currently has 17 Area Development Programmes (ADP's) that are implemented using the integrated holistic approach, Communities within these areas elect grassroots committees to add value and increase the impact on the well being of children. This is supported through two funding streams, namely Child Sponsorship and Grants ( Non Sponsorship).

Livelivehoods and Resilience TP Coordinator

Reports; Cluster Manager operationally with Strong matrix reporting to Livelihoods and Resilience TP Manager

Provides supervison; Provides Technical supervison to Cluster Managers &DO'S

Purpose of the position: Is to provide technical support to the Livelihood and Resilience Program with a focus on improved access to livelihood and resilience Practices. The position is responsible for profiling World Vision Lesotho in all relevant sector networks and technical working groups at cluster level. The incumbent is the primary technical contact for the Organization in matters relating to the LIVELIHOOD AND RESILIENCE Program at cluster level.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To provide overall operational leadership and technical oversight for the implementation of the ANCP Livelihoods Project in Lesotho, Swaziland and South Africa.
