The National University of Lesotho is looking for highly qualified and energetic CANDIDATES to fill the following posts. 

1. Post No. 0020: Director Institute of Extra Mural Studies
Experience and Skills At least five (5) years of administrative experience as Head of Department, Dean or Director;
Provides administrative and academic leadership to increase access to educational services and programmes that will assist in promoting national development, with particular focus on continuing professional development, and outreach services
Qualifications: A Ph.D is required. Professorship will be an added advantage.
Period of Employment Contract: A three year contract

2. Post No. 0940: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Agriculture Education – Department of Science Education
Experience and Skills: At least 5 years’ experience at Secondary and High School Level Teaching in Agriculture;
Must be able to demonstrate capacity for academic leadership and for initiating and sustaining academic programmes relevant to the wider field of science education and specifically agriculture education.
Qualifications: Minimum of a relevant Masters’ Degree in Agriculture Education.
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract

3. Post No. 1537: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies
Experience and Skills: Development Administration with relevant successful teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
A good track record of research and publication relevant to Development Studies is essential.
Qualifications: A minimum qualification required is MA in Development Studies.
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract

4. Post No. 8511: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Historical Studies
Experience and Skills: Must be able to teach History courses on Lesotho, Southern African, Africa and Europe; Over and above its BA (History) Major, the Department also offers BA Majors in Environmental History and Heritage & Cultural Studies;
Will therefore, be expected to be able to teach courses in, at least, one of these Majors. Must have, at least, a Master of Arts Degree in History.
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract

5. Post No. 1717: Professor in Theology and Religious Studies
Experience and Skills: Must have attained professor position at the time of submission of an application;
Must have extensive teaching and research experience (including graduate and undergraduate research supervision); Must also demonstrate a significant record of referred publications comparable to Associate Professorship/Professorship in NUL;
Must be computer literate and familiar with modern trends in theology/religious studies.
Qualifications: A minimum academic qualification is a Ph.D. in Theology/Religious Studies
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract

6. Post No. 1855: Professor in Political Science/Public Administration
Experience and Skills: Extensive proven record of relevant scholarly research and refereed publications;
Extensive teaching experience at university level and supervision of students at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels;
Proven record of experience in curriculum review and development in political science/public administration.
Qualifications: A Ph.D in Political Science/Public Administration.
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract

7. Post No. 2160: Laboratory Technician in the Department of Biology
Experience and Skills: Must have two years’ experience working in the Laboratory Science. Must have a two year relevant post C.O.S.C.;
Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent qualification in laboratory science.

8. Post No. 1485: Senior Laboratory Technician in the Department of Biology
Experience and Skills: At least 6 years’ experience of working in a Biology Related Laboratory.
Qualifications: Must have a two year relevant post C.O.S.C. Diploma or equivalent qualification in laboratory science
Period of Employment Contract: A two year contract
