The above vacancy exists at MGC Properties – Mpilo Boutique Hotel (Maseru). Applications are invited from
suitable candidates for the above position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To direct and control reservations, reception information or transport/tours counter, telephone section, front
office cashier, airport representatives and porters department, i.e., entire front and back office operations and
manages housekeeping and laundry operations
• Ensure a required system for reservations is maintained
• Keep hotel’s standard of service quality towards guest satisfaction
• Responsible for rooms’ control and rate restrictions
• Ensure compliance with hotel procedures and standards
• Ensure good communication and cooperation between all sections of Rooms Division Department
• Prepare operating and capital budget and control expenses for front office department
• Ensure cleanliness and proper keeping of rooms and public areas
• In consultation with the Hotel General Manager, recruit and train staff of department
• Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the
hotel
• Supervise all staff in the department
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma/ Degree in Hotel Management from a reputable international school
• Minimum of 5 years in Rooms Division Management (Front Office/Housekeeping)
• International experience in Rooms Division Management in a 4 or 5 star business/boutique hotel
• Previous hotel pre-opening and opening experience required
• Knowledge of international hotel trends
• Good trainer and stable track record
• Excellent command of English Language (reading, writing and spoken)
• Good Computer skills with sufficient knowledge of Micros/Opera property management & POS systems
