Letšeng Diamonds seeks to engage a qualified professional with appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR – MINING & STRATEGIC TECHNICAL SERVICES (PATERSON BAND CU). PURPOSE: Oversee the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System and coordinate the occupational health and safety programme with the aim of achieving Zero Harm to people, environment and property.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinating implementation of the HSE Management System.
• Identifying workplace hazards, assessing risks to employee health and safety, and recommending solutions.
• Managing operational risks and changes.
• Managing compliance with national HSE legislation and other requirements.
• Conducting incident investigations and analysis of incidents.
• Conducting internal HSE audits and participating in external HSE audits.
• Management of allocated resources.
• Generating HSE performance reports
• Coordinating implementation of the HSE Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management with experience in mining related operations or Degree in Natural Sciences with considerable training in Occupational Health and Safety; or
• A minimum of three Years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer
• Registration with Ministry of Labour and employment as a Safety Officer

• A minimum of three Years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer
