Job purpose
Responsible for installating, modifying, maintaining and repairing electronic instruments and control systems.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Technician the incumbent will carry out the following duties and responsibilities;
Examine and test machines, instruments, components and other equipment and control systems to identify faults;
Adjust, repair and replace worn and defective parts and wiring and maintain machines, equipment and instruments;
Re-assemble, test operate and adjust equipment and calibration of filed sensors;
Install electronic instruments and control systems;
Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians and other maintenance personnel;
Interpret test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems;
Install, adjust, repair or replace electrical and electronic components;
Maintaining and cleaning of security cameras
Legal and other requirements
Police clearance and medical examinations of fitness
Valid driver’s license
Qualifications and experience
2 years’ hands on mining experience;
Instrumentation qualification;
Experience in computerized Maintenance management system will be an added advantage;
Knowledge of field instrumentation;
Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
