Job purpose
Assisting with installations and modification of instruments and control systems.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Technician the incumbent will carry out the following duties and responsibilities;
Assist with examining and testing machines, instruments, components, equipment and control systems to identify faults;
Assist with adjusting, repairing and replacing worn out and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments;
Assist with reassembling, test operating, adjusting equipment and calibration of filed sensors
Assist with installing electronic instruments and control systems
Legal and other requirements
Police clearance and medical examinations of fitness
Valid driver’s license
Qualifications and experience
1 year hands on mining experience;
Instrumentation qualification;
Basic experience in computerized Maintenance management systems;
Basic knowledge of field instrumentation;
Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The ability to operate mechanical and maintenance equipment and related components;
