Lesotho Electricity and Water Authority (LEWA) has been set up in terms of the Lesotho Electricity Authority Act 2002, as amended, to regulate Electricity Supply Industry and the Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Services.
LEWA invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Receptionist.
Department : Human Resources, Finance and Administration
Title : Receptionist
Reports to : Assistant Accountant and Administration
Job Purpose:
Under the general supervision of Assistant Accountant and Administration, the incumbent is responsible for amongst others, management and operation of the switchboard, receiving and directing visitors, and supplying general information regarding the organization to the public, clients and customers.
Task and Responsibilities
Manage and operate switchboard;
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls;
Take and relay messages;
Receive and sort mail and deliveries;
Maintain visitors’ and mail registers;
Receive visitors, listen to their requests and directs them to the correct destination;
Arrange catering when requested;
Assist with the general administrative and clerical support, mail delivery and office assistant functions;
Assist with secretarial services-typing, filing, binding and photocopying of documents as instructed;
Perform other related functions as the Authority may determine.

Updated mail and visitors registers;
A warm and welcoming environment at front office;
Timely response on calls and messages;
Timely mail deliveries.
Education and Experiences
Diploma in Secretarial Studies, front desk management or office practice;
Three (3) years working experience as a receptionist in the private sector;
A valid driver’s license will be added advantages.

Ability to work in a team of professionals
Good telephone answering manners
Good interpersonal skills
Computer skills such as Microsoft word all levels, excel and power point
Good command of Sesotho and English

The Authority offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive package of benefits are available.
Contract Duration
Five years fixed contract.
Location
The post is based in Maseru, Lesotho, although there may be occasional requirements to travel to other districts of Lesotho.
