Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist
Role Description
Are you an experienced logistician? Do you have experience with procurement, supply chain management and market assessments in an international recovery and development context? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are recruiting to the position Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist be based in Maseru, Lesotho for 7 weeks to support the Lesotho Red Cross Society’s (LRCS) procurement unit.
As the Logistics Specialist you will support LRCS to develop, launch and implement national construction material and service tenders (approx. overall value GBP 450k) for the last year of the WASH programme implementation, and ensuring the documentation of tender process is done to an auditable standard according to LRCS procedures and donor requirements. You will be responsible for leading the whole procurement process of the tender, preparing delivery schedule for materials and services, develop/adjust tender documents tailored to requirements of the programme/donor requirements and for ensuring all programme related material trackers and management tools/documents are implemented, updated and shared with BRC UKO and LRCS. You will work closely with counterparts in the LRCS on this programme as well as with the WASH Programme Manager based in country.
