Leadership Responsibilities
Project resources assigned to the project, including: internal, external, technical and business / functional. This includes the ability to influence these resources and their managers as they will not have a direct reporting line.
Purpose of Role
Manage technology projects across multiple disciplines including: infrastructure, software development and applications.
Deliver projects according to time, scope, budget and quality
Manage project resources (this includes people and financial aspects)
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
in a timely and clear fashion
Top Accountabilities
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in
collaboration with Project Team Manager and stakeholders
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications and documents
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes
where necessary
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to
identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Utilize best practices and tools for project execution and management
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
Track project milestones and deliverables
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation,
and presentations
Qualifications and Experience Required Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in IT or Business
Experience
Project management
Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project
Relevant IT/IS project management experience
Project Lifecycle and risk management
Systems development lifecycle SDLC
SAP / Application project experience would be useful
