Storm Mountain Diamonds (Pty) Ltd is a mining company situated within the Kao catchment in the Botha-Bothe district. SMD invites applications from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the following positions:
1. INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN (1)

• This role requires a qualified Instrumentation Technician with COSC or N3 qualification and a strong installation instrumentation / automation / PLC background
• Relevant instrumentation / PLC experience in the diamond environment
• Good general knowledge of electrical equipment up to 11kV
• Experience in Instrumentation / automation / PLC commissioning as well as a working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems
• Experience in SCADA commissioning as well as a working knowledge of SCADA systems
• Hands-on experience in utilising planned maintenance systems and be conversant with different types of maintenance
• Basic mechanical knowledge

KPA’s

• Perform general plant maintenance duties.
• Assess and correct malfunctions in good time, without further damage to equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance according to standards and procedures within allocated time and budget.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a continual basis.
• Identify and implement Instrument/Automation/PLC improvement

2. FITTER (2)

• This role requires a qualified Fitter with COSC, Certificate/Diploma in Fitting and Turning or N3 qualification and a strong installation and industrial background.
• Relevant fitting experience in the process plant / mining environment.
• Hands-on experience in utilising planned maintenance systems and be conversant with different types of Maintenance
• Basic Boilermaking and Electrical knowledge

KPA’s

• Perform general plant maintenance duties.
• Assess and correct malfunctions in good time, without further damage to equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance according to standards and procedures within allocated time and budget.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a continual basis.
• Identify and implement Mechanical improvement.

3. BOILERMAKER (2)

• This role requires a qualified Boilermaker with COSC, Certificate in welding/boilermaking or N3 qualification and a strong installation and industrial background
• Relevant boilermaking experience in the process plant / mining environment
• Hands-on experience in utilising planned maintenance systems and be conversant with different types of maintenance
• Basic Fitting and Electrical knowledge

• Perform general plant maintenance duties
• Assess and correct malfunctions in good time, without further damage to equipment
• Perform planned maintenance according to standards and procedures within allocated time and budget
• Perform preventative maintenance on a continual basis
• Identify and implement Mechanical improvement
