Job description
To provide technical service and support to our customers, through regular on site visits. And by providing repairs and tool calibrations, working as part of the Atlas Copco Service team, continuously improving our customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:To provide Repairs and Field Service Support on Industrial Power Tooling including Electronic, Pneumatic hand held and fixturised tools. To provide the customer with technical support during breakdowns, over the phone and, when required on site.To conduct regular customer visits providing technical support, assistance and guidance as and when required.To maintain records of all activities.To carry out calibrations and preventative maintenance tasks on a scheduled and planned basis.To plan, manage and carry out the installation of our equipment at the customers premises.To ensure all repair and calibration workshop documentation is completed correctly and up to date.To provide written reports on repairs and incidents as requested by management or the Customer.To provide advice and feedback to the Customer on the use of their equipment.To work as part of a team with our Sales representatives and the Customer to help address any support and technical issues.Shift Pattern:This role is typically to cover our customer’s shift production, however it will occasionally be required to work outside the agreed pattern including evenings and weekends.
Experience requirements
EssentialFlexibility in being able to respond to the customers demands – this will involve early starts and late finishes, as well as occasionally attending plant outside normal hours, in an emergency response capacity.Ability to take ownership of problems and find a solutionCertificate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Has experience of providing a Service to customersExperience of Repair Environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team PC LiterateClean driving licenceGood HealthDesirable:Has experience of a Manufacturing Environment.Has experience of Industrial Power Tools i.e. Pneumatic, Battery and DC.Programming experienceExperience of PLC’s and line control systems
Knowledge
Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalentClean driving licenceTechnical qualifications. Grade 12 - Maths and ScienceProgramming experienceExperience of PLC’s and line control system
