Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of
ENGINEERING MANAGER (PATERSON BAND EL)
PURPOSE: Reporting to the General Manager, the Engineering Manager will provide strategic direction to all the engineering functions across the mine, whilst ensuring the
effective use of resources in the achievement of mine wide objectives.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Ensuring compliance with all SHE programme requirements,
• Developing strategic guidelines for the company policy and procedures by
setting appropriate objectives to achieve the Mine’s vision,
• Establishing, reviewing and measuring benchmark for engineering
performance against industry best practice,
• Providing technical guidance to production departments, service providers
and contractors,
• Managing, coordinating and controlling the functions that report directly
to this position,
• Planning, initiating and executing all maintenance functions for the mine
infrastructure to ensure availability for the achievement of targets,
• Engaging with stakeholders on engineering related matters, to ensure
service delivery to the Mine,
• Enforcing and maintaining legal compliance of engineering functions,
• Directing the initiation, planning and execution of engineering projects,
taking cognisance of generally accepted project methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;
• Recognised engineering degree (BSC or BEng), preferably mechanical or
electrical.
• 10 years post qualification engineering experience of which 5 must be at
Senior Manager Level (Paterson level E), preferably in mining or heavy
industry.
• Technically sound maintenance knowledge and application.
• Project management qualification or experience will be an added
advantage.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS;
• Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness
as per requirements.
