Position: Coordinator
Risk and Credit Association of Lesotho (RCDA)
The Risk and Credit Data Association of Lesotho (RCDA), in association with FinMark Trust, is seeking the services of a full-time Co-ordinator to establish and manage the activities of the Association to drive the successful sharing of credit information within Lesotho and across border. The Coordinator will be contracted for an initial period of six months, before being considered for a longer term contract subject to satisfactory personal performance and continuance of the project.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the Coordinator will include but not be limited to:
• Developing RCDA’s objectives, strategies and action plans in consultation with the Steering Committee and the Credit Market Specialist from CPA ;
• developing the funding model to ensure sustainability of the Association and its functioning. This will include fund raising duties.Developing and maintaining a database of information on Lesotho credit and data providing sectors includingproduct overviews, related costs, relevant regulation
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures, to facilitate the successful sharing of consumer and business credit information, also
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the Association , efficiently and cost-effectively, resolving member queries and maintaining high service standards within the scope of the Association ’s mission.
• Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with all stakeholders, including Government and other relevant industry and consumer bodies.

3. Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess the following::
1. 10 year’s experience in the financial sector of which five must have been at a senior level and preferably in credit management;
2. Degree in Economics, or Banking & Finance and Project Management from a recognised institution of higher learning.
3. Extensive successful experience of Project/Programme design, management, and execution. Additionally experience in research design and data analysis and reporting, together with strong marketing and financial management skills would be optimal. Knowledge of IT as pertains to data management systems is necessary;
The Coordinator will report to Credit Reporting Specialist based at the Credit Providers Association (CPA) in Johannesburg, and to the RCDA Steering Committee until such time as a permanent Management Committee for the RCDA is established. The Coordinator will also be expected to interact with other stakeholders in the SADC Credit Reporting Association Initiative, and will receive capacity building support and project direction from the CPA as needed.
