Nutritionist (1) and Field Monitor (1) in Caritas Lesotho

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Nutritionist (1) and Field Monitor (1) in Caritas Lesotho. The candidates will be based at Thaba Tseka.
Duties 

Nutritionist 

• Spearheads the implementation of the Nutrition Project
• Participates in the identification and registration of beneficiaries 
• Keeps and updates beneficiary lists
• Trains and monitors beneficiaries on nutrition
• Leads the implementation of Positive Deviance and other complimentary activities
• Conduct cooking demonstrations
• Facilitates formation and capacity building of nutrition groups/clubs
• Compiles and submits project progress reports
Field Monitor
• Participates in the identification and registration of beneficiaries
• Leads the implementation of livelihood activities (SILC, homestead gardening and marketing)
• Demonstrates the project activities to the beneficiaries
• Undertakes daily monitoring of activities
• Participate in assessment exercises related to food security and other livelihood improvement interventions
• Work closely with members of project teams to ensure integration, vision, and implementation of the Project.

Academic Credentials

Nutritionist

• A Diploma in Home Economics/Nutrition
• Two years work experience in the similar line of work
• Experience working as a coordinator will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of English and Sesotho
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and harsh conditions
• Experience working in the mountain areas will be an added advantage.
• Possession of a valid driver’s licence

Field Monitor
• Certificate in Agriculture
• Relevant work experience in food security and micro-finance projects will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of English and Sesotho
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Team player capable of working under minimum supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and harsh conditions
