Job Specification
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
Valid Fitting trade certificate or equivalent
Knowledge: Organisation and direction of resources, broad general knowledge of industrial processes and equipment, planned maintenance systems
Experience: 2 years leadership, organisation and resource direction, electrical and mechanical exposure
Skills: Work as team leader and work alone, broad based fault finding skill
Training: Planned maintenance, SHEQ, supervision, conflict resolution, elementary financial management
Ability: lead a qualified team
Preference will be given to Lesotho citizens
Responsibilities
Manage Planned Maintenance within own department. Manage outside contractors working within own area of responsibility
Carry out regular plant inspections in order to assess effectiveness of maintenance and to detect potential problem areas timeously
Optimise manpower utilisation and efficiency. Manage conflict and discipline Liaise with other departments to ensure optimum employment of human resources throughout the plant
Ensure that all spares an equipment for maintenance are ordered and delivered to site timeously
Faultfinding and rectification. Perform Medium to high level faultfinding. Perform root cause analysis on faults. Ensure that rectification takes place in the least possible time with the least damage to any equipment
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the companies SHEQ policies
Ensure conformance with the budget
Housekeeping. Ensure that the plant and workplace are kept clean, safe and free from maintenance residue.
