The Senior Solution Architect role will be responsible for the overall performance, standards and direction of the Architecture in a particular SAP Banking Solution or across multiple solutions including the creation/updates to architecture deliverables. The Senior Solution Architect will also support solution development efforts and SAP Governance processes.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Set architectural direction and standards
- Consult to project teams and govern delivery from a target architecture perspective
- Provides SAP best practices to the customer for the SAP solutions in the area of banking
- Provides conceptual design for targeted solution architecture (to-be)
- Provides detailed architecture design focusing on application, integration and technology architecture
- Focus on critical architectural topics like integration techniques, batch, error handling, etc
- Coach and enable solution architects on customer site
- Ensure that the designed solution is properly adopted during its implementation and integration into the environment of the client
- Up skill the SAP and clients team on SAP Architectural topics
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years professional work experience in IT Solution/ software development area
- Working experience in banking solutions (SAP or non-SAP) and or Banking/Insurance industry know-how
- Experience in software architecture design, especially Service Oriented Architecture within heterogeneous IT Landscapes
- Proven working experience with infrastructure technology (e.g. Netweaver, WebSphere, etc.)
- Experience in working with Customers both on implementation and strategic levels
- Knowledge and experience in SAP Banking product and environment
- Project/program management experience
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Relevant Academic degree (computer science/economics/Finance)
- Advanced Project management skills
- Strong team player and thought Leadership
- Willing to work outside of his/her base region/country
- Certification in Architecture competency (TOGAF, ITIL, SAP EAF)
