Salary: All-inclusive salary package of R819 126 per annum of which 30% may be structured according to the individual needs

Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in road infrastructure planning and delivery management
• A National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• An understanding of Road Asset Management Plans (RAMP) and infrastructure planning process, including budget planning process. Capability in/knowledge of the following processes and systems would be added advantages:
• The 18 Strategic Integrated Projects (SIPs)
• National Development Plan (NDP)
• Infrastructure Development Bill
• Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS).
Duties:
• Coordinate and manage review Road Infrastructure Asset Management Plans (RAMP)
• Promote coherence and integration of sector plans and among the provincial institutions
• Ensure synergy between road infrastructure plans and the National Development Plans (NDPs)
• Provide support to the executives in the preparation of all specific reports and presentations, such as legislated reports (DORA), sector reports and MINMEC reports/presentations
• Coordinate and report on progress of the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) implementation by the roads sector
• Ensure adherence to and compliance with reporting cycle and reporting standards
• Implement performance management and career development strategies and processes in line with the relevant policies and guidelines
• Prepare operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
Note: The successful candidate for the above post must disclose to the Acting Director-General: Transport particulars of all registrable financial interests, and must sign a performance agreement/contract with the Chief Director as well as obtain a Security Clearance within 3 months of the date of assumption of duty.

Note: Candidates who meet the requirements for the posts of Office Administrator I, II and III will be kept in the Department's database for a period not exceeding 6 months for future consideration.

Preference will be given to those applications whose appointment will assist the Department in achieving its Employment Equity at that level.
