Head of Finance Planning and Decision Support - Vodacom Lesotho

Vodacom Lesotho invites suitably qualified candidates to the position of Head of Finance Planning and Decision Support reporting to the Finance Director in the Finance Department

1) Overview
• Ensures effective delivery of analysis and translation of Vodacom strategies into plans through the management of the Financial Planning & Decision Support function.

Role Accountabilities:
• Delivers financial strategy through the planning and direction offered to financial, accounting, taxation and treaury functions.
• Supports Financial Director in building business cases for new financial strategy.
• Leads the operations and activities of the function, planning, organising and coordinating activities across the planning and decision support teams.
• Contributes to overall Finance strategy through the delivery of financial plans, analysis and through insight into the business case development process.
• Provides support to Financial Director in formulating and implementing the company’s financial policy and procedures.
• Ensures effective delivery of Financial plans through the communication and execution of clear action plans, including acting as a key interface for Finance.
• Effective relationship and stakeholder management at a strategic
level through which customer requirements and changing business needs are incorporated into Vodacom Financial Strategy.
• Supports in the development of business proposals acting as the key interface between the finance function and the business heads to agree financial plans, initiatives and policy in order for Vodacom to meet business objectives.
• Manager of managers. Leads and manages the Planning & Decision teams through development of objectives and targets for performance and career development.

• Accounting, Risk Assessment, & controls experience.
• Exposure to and leadership of significant projects.
• Advanced levels of experience in financial and business analysis.
• Experience in management and board reporting.
• Experience in leading teams of senior professionals.
• The ability to filter and analyse complex and dynamic information.

Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant (CA) (SA) essential or equivalent

Experience
• A track record of success as Head of Finance in a large, complex, consumer oriented business in South Africa, Lesotho or Internationally.
• Ideal industry experience includes: telecoms, technology, banking or other high volume transaction processing industry environment.
