Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is in the Transmission & Distribution Department Maputsoe. The incumbent will report to the Area Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· COSC.
· Certificate in Electrical Installation will be an added advantage.
· 1 year relevant experience.
· Valid driver’s licence will also be an added advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Among others, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
· Visually patrols lines and climbs towers/poles to inspect defects.
· Plant poles and lines stringing.
· Repairs, maintains and constructs lines.
· Cuts trees on “dead” lines & “live” with link stick saws.
· Cleans substations (building & outdoor yards) under authorized persons.
· Adheres to safe working practices in compliance with the safety rules & regulations.
· Attends to planned works and emergencies beyond normal working hours.
· Physically mounts pole mounted transformers and other equipment and removes foreign objects around electrical poles/towers.
· Stop soil erosion around towers/poles.
· Performs all related labour-intensive duties.
