This post is located in the Electoral Assistance Division (EAD) of the Department of Political Affairs (DPA). Under the overall supervision of the Director and the Deputy Director, the incumbent will report to the Team Leader of the Policy and Institutional Memory Cluster.
Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in political science, international relations, international economics, law, public administration or other related are. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in political science, international relations, law, disarmament, security, development management, conflict resolution or related area. Experience in policy development within the United Nations System is desirable. Experience in implementing electoral assistance in the field is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required.
