Research and Marketing Intelligence Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
|
• Honours Degree in Economics / Commerce
• 5 years’ experience in conducting and facilitating economic research. • International experience and exposure in marketing and economic research • Knowledge of Maritime and or aviation industries will be an added advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Develop and maintain a programme of strategic market research aligned with the RBIDZ strategic objectives and programmes
• Conduct economic and sector related research in collaboration with the appropriate team members and external organizations • Conduct social and economic surveys on local, regional, national and international levels to asses development potential and future economic trends • Research, develop and support implementation of the country and product targeting strategies. • Conduct research on value chain of current RBIDZ customers and identify key targeted markets for existing sectors and related projects • Plan and collaborate in value-adding research projects with representatives of a wide variety of industrial and commercial enterprises, business associations and government agencies • Foster knowledge organisation by establishing means to keep RBIDZ personnel abreast of new developments and benchmarking the best practice on trade and investment promotion • Regularly report progress with the research and produce the research outputs • Research international trade data and trends for specified products sectors • Contribute to a supportive and positive environment within the research team, and with the key stakeholders. KNOWLEDGE
• Understanding of South African business export and import activities
• Understanding of strategic marketing issues for South African businesses • Work planning and budget management • Advanced report writing and ability to write articles • Ability to gather, collate, synthesize, analyse, interpret and disseminate business information. • Competency in generating and packaging projects SKILLS

Salary Package All Inclusive: R666 623 – R944 476 (Negotiable)
3 year contract (Renewable at employer’s discretion)
