The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE:
POST NO. 3660: SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
The applicants must have at least, PhD in Veterinary Science, Animal Health, Animal Nutrition or Reproductive Physiology plus more than 5 years teaching experience at tertiary level. S/he should be able to teach Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Diseases and Animal Health. Broad knowledge of animal production courses is essential, so is a considerable record of research publications in peer reviewed journals. Acquired administrative duties will be an added advantage.
Duties:
- Supervision of students’ projects and dissertations;
- Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
- Participating in the research programmes of the department/Faculty;
- Performing other duties required by the Department.
- The incumbent will be expected to carry out teaching and conduct research in his/her area of expertise, and perform any other duties as may be required by the Department.
Contract duration:
The appointment for this post shall be on contract for a period of two years.
