Marketing Officer Job at Lesotho Post bank

The Lesotho Post bank invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Marketing Officer. 

Job Purpose:
To execute marketing related activities that identify and exploit opportunities that could support selling activities, with the aim to attract new customers and retain current customers through value ending activities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Executes radio programme with the aim to inform the public about developments that customers need to be aware of at Lesotho Postbank.
•Coordinate and compile information to be placed in the Bank’s newsletter and Website, prior to editing in pursuit of internal and external customer information dissemination.
•In support to departmental programmes, participate in fairs exhibitions that promote the image and products of the Bank and participate in activities that Postbank has sponsored
•Media Planning for all brand campaigns, specifically TV, Print and Online. This includes media selection, media negotiations, budget spend proposals, booking of insertions/flightings, and supervision of the company design team / external production supplier for creative material and its delivery.
•To propose, develop, and implement a comprehensive sponsorship programme which will allow the brand to leverage positively off the investments agreed upon.
•To develop, implement and measure a cohesive corporate relations content plan, with regard to proactive & reactive brand & product news, CSI, and all other content areas which can maximise the brand exposure in media
•Participating in public rallies that aim to create awareness about Postbank and its products.
•Produce detailed proposals with cost benefit analysis on the events envisaged and provide project plan when approved
•Collect press clippings about Lesotho Postbank and extract any issues that could create negative perceptions about the Bank, from newspapers, magazines and other print or electronic media, so that appropriate response can be designed by Management.
•Manage the entire cycle of planning and executing an event including creating send out, manage invitations and RSVP process
•Source, negotiate and securing of venues. Visit venues to plan layout and seating and ensure that the area is branded on time
•Schedule speakers and participants for both financial literacy workshops and radio programmes
•Coordinate and monitor events timelines and ensure deadlines are met
•Organise all marketing and related material for distribution prior, at and after the event
•Arrange and coordinate all resources required, including staff; inventory, signage/branding, etc
•Provide periodic progress reports to all relevant stakeholders on the event and evaluation of the event
•To write marketing briefs including objectives and measurable

•Computer skills, Writing and reporting skills, Presentation and selling skills, Analytical and Problem solving skills, Good appreciation of research issues, Networking skills, Innovative and proactive, and a Three dimensional thinker,
•Should be in possession of valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must have any of the following;
•A degree in Marketing plus at least three years in marketing/ sales. •Prior knowledge of events management and banking will be an added advantage
