About the Job:
1. Non SAP- monthly consolidations
- Liaise with FM’s to ensure timeous submission of their monthly templates to DSA
- Check completeness of the results templates
- Check results for reasonability and follow up on unusual variances
- Confirm the results with the Chief Financial Officer’s/Financial Manager’s
- Extract the results and prepare journals to be loaded onto SAP
- Extract headcount numbers and additional information and load on DI tool
- Analyse monthly results by country investigating actual vs budget/forecast variances. Obtain explanations for the variances.
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts and cost centre mappings. Communicate any changes with Senior Group accountant.
2. Monthly National journals
- Obtain Leave pay report , prepare and post leave pay journals- DSA
- Prepare and Post Billing Workflow, journal after Engagement management closure
- Obtain headcount reports from HR, load into Data Insight
3. Africa Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly Africa Executive Committee (EXCO) Reports with commentary to Senior Finance manager
- Prepare and submit monthly Africa management accounts and submit to Africa Chief Financial Officer’s/Financial Manager’s for review
- Follow up and resolve queries on reports
- Prepare additional information required by country for Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu Limited(DTTL) reporting i.e. headcounts
- Prepare Quarterly Pan Africa report for DTTL and submit for review.
- Prepare adhoc reporting required for EXCO/DTTL on Africa countries
- Liaise with Africa Transitional manager and prepare any reports required.
4. Revenue Reporting – Pan Africa
- Prepare monthly DTTL Revenue flash reports
- Prepare Clients and industry monthly revenue report. Submit To Group Financial reporting manager for review
- Obtain revenue by client information from Africa countries and consolidate into Pan Africa report.
5. Forecast/Budgets – Non Sap entities
- Assisting with Forecast/ Budget preparations
- Liaise with Africa Chief Financial Officer’s/Financial Manager’s on budget/ forecast instructions and deadlines
- Ensure all Forecast/Budget deadlines are adhered to.
- Obtain Forecast/ Budget workbooks from the African countries
- Check completeness of templates
- Check results for reasonability and follow up on unusual variances
- Confirm the results with the Africa Chief Financial Officer’s/Financial Manager’s
- Extract the results and prepare journals to be loaded onto SAP
- Extract headcount numbers and additional information and load on DI tool
- Prepare and submit Forecast/Budget Africa EXCO Reports with commentary to Senior Finance manager
- Prepare results summary and submit to Senior Group accountant for consolidation of results.
- Follow up and resolve queries on budget/forecast
6. Statistics SA
- Prepare quarterly and annual Statistics SA returns. Submit to Group Financial Reporting Manager to Review
- Follow up and resolve queries
7. Ad hoc tasks
- Assist Senior Group Accountant with monthly reporting tasks to gain an understanding of full consolidation process.
- Back up to the Senior Group accountant
- Assist Africa Transitional Manager on project tasks with regards to Transition plan.
- Monitor and collate submission of monthly Balance sheet recons
- Maintaining and creating of Cost/Profit Centres and General Ledger Accounts on SAP.
- Implement processes to ensure efficiencies in tasks
8. Operational Excellence
- Provide work processes of a highly professional standard through
- Meeting deadlines
- All written and verbal communication is clear, accurate and concise
- Building and maintaining good relationships with the Africa Finance teams
- Maintain proper records and working files
9. Team Support
- Assist management with ad-hoc financial reports, processes, etc
- Coach other staff when assisting in sorting out queries

About You:
Minimum qualifications:
- BCom Accounting
Minimum experience:
- Knowledge of complex consolidations
- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning accounting system/s
- Advanced Excel Knowledge
Desired experience:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in reporting
