Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is in Thaba - Tseka. The incumbent will be responsible to the Regional Manager Central -B.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• BSc – Electrical Engineering will be added advantage.
EXPIERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Maintenance of High Voltage equipment e.g. lines & sub-stations.
• Knowledge of National & International electrical codes & standards.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Technical, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Analytical skill & computer literacy.
• Must have valid driver`s licence.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Amongst other things, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
• Maintain transmission & distribution network.
• Enforce adherence to construction & maintenance standards.
• Enforce adherence to safety rules & regulations.
• Attend network break downs & carry out root cause analysis to rectify faults.
• Coordinate network switching & load transfers.
• Authorise service connections quotations for customers as well as quotations for reconnection & damaged LEC network e.g. service cables.
• Prepare reports.
• Identify network weak points & propose systems improvements.
• Design extensions/systems improvements for network strengthening.
