SECRETARY (Maseru)

The Land Administration Authority invites applications from suitably qualified, competent and highly motivated staff to fill the positions of Secretary, Customers Services Assistant and Receptionist. These positions are based in Maseru and Mohale’s Hoek respectively. The positions require good spoken and written Sesotho and English. A competitive remuneration package including non-contributory benefits is offered. A brief description of the positions is provided below.

3. SECRETARY (Maseru)
Job Scope: The officer is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Divisional Directors.

Key Result Areas:

• Timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks, such as recording of incoming correspondence,
• Preparing standard letters
• Organising meetings and filing
• Adherence to administrative procedures and instructions

Qualifications/Knowledge:
• Diploma in Secretarial studies or office administration

Skills:
• Good spoken and written Sesotho and English
• Ability to interpret and apply standard secretarial and administrative procedures
• Use of office productivity software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to prioritise tasks

Experience:
• At least one (1) year post-qualification experience in a secretarial position
Submission of Applications
All applications must include a fully completed LAA application form, a detailed CV with the names and contact details for two referees, certified copies of Educational Certificates, and a covering letter. Application forms may be downloaded from the Authority’s website www.laa.org.ls.

Applications must be received on or before 17:00hrs - Friday, 20th June 2014. Applicants who do not hear from the Human Resources Office by 30th June 2014 may assume that their applications have not been successful.
