Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law Public Finance, Economics, Accounting, Public Administration or equivalent professional qualification (preferably obtained in a Commonwealth Country);
- Fluent command of both written and spoken English; and
- Computer Literate.
- Minimum of 10-years of general professional experience;
- Minimum of 5-years of project management experience and demonstrated management skills;
- Proven experience in all aspects of a budget department operations;
- Excellent organisational and communication skills; and
- Excellent analytical and document drafting skills.
- Minimum of 10-years of practical work in budget departments in the public sector;
- Minimum of 5-of the above years in a developing country environment (Sub-Saharan Africa experience would be an advantage);
- Thorough knowledge of for example, MTEF, BFP, budget calendars, PBB etc.;
- Developed and delivered training, mentoring and sensitisation on PFM regulatory frameworks; and
- Experience in advising highest level of government officials and managers on budget issues.
