Storm Mountain Diamonds (PTY) Ltd operates a Kimberlite Diamond Mine at Kao in the Botha-Bothe district. SMD requires the full time services of an Electrician who meets the following minimum qualifications.
Purpose of the position:
To provide an efficient installation, maintenance and service of electrical equipment at the process plant
Qualifications:
• Qualified Electrician with an N3 qualification and a strong installation and industrial background
• Relevant electrical experience in the process plant / mining environment
• Good general knowledge of electrical equipment up to 11 kv
• Hands-on experience in utilising planned maintenance systems and be conversant with different types of maintenance
• Must have basic instrumentation / automation / PLC and SCADA knowledge
• Must have basic mechanical knowledge
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform general plant maintenance duties
• Assess and correct malfunctions in good time, without further damage to equipment
• Perform planned maintenance according to standards and procedures within allocated time and budget
• Perform preventive maintenance on continual basis
• Identify and implement electrical improvement
