The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF EDUCATION:
Post No. 0910: Associate Professor/Professor in English Language Education
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The applicants must hold a PhD in English Language Education (Second/Foreign Language Education/Applied Linguistics) or a PhD Degree in Language and Linguistics (Socio-Linguistics) with a postgraduate education qualification. In addition, applicants must have an extensive proven record of relevant scholarly research and publications.
Duties:
- To teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in curriculum studies in English Language and Literature in English;
- To supervise teaching practice, masters and PhD students’ related research projects;
- To perform any other duties as would be required by the department and/or the Faculty of Education.
Work Experience:
- More than ten years relevant teaching experience at University level;
- Experience in leading and participating in local and international research;
- Experience in supervising masters and PhD research;
- Evidence of academic and administrative leadership, as well as mentoring of junior staff.
Contract Duration:
The Appointment for this post shall be a two year contract
The successful candidate is expected to commence duty in August 2014.
